Announcing the Top Rated A/B Testing Tools for 2019

Today, we awarded the 2019 TrustRadius Top Rated badges for A/B Testing Tools. The TrustRadius Top Rated awards are the most trusted in the industry because they are an unbiased reflection of customer sentiment, based solely on user feedback and satisfaction scores. A/B Testing Tools

A/B testing tools enable users to optimize their website, webpages, or mobile applications in order to positively impact desired outcomes such as increased conversion rates and decreased page bounce rate. They allow businesses to divide site traffic across different websites or web page versions to test which variant performs best.

Basic A/B testing tools will be able to implement A/B and Split URL tests, calculate conversion rates, and provide the statistical likelihood of one site version outperforming other variations. Some products may also include other analysis tools such as heatmaps and scrollmaps, site surveys, and visitor recordings. While some A/B testing tools require knowledge of HTML or CSS in order to create tests, many of these tools have a WYSIWYG interface that enable users without any coding experience to set up and analyze tests. More sophisticated tools provide audience segmentation and personalization capabilities.

This product offers audience segmentation tools, including a machine learning powered ‘intelligent personalization engine’, that helps provide site visitors with more customized experiences. Reviewers praise the easy-to-navigate interface and detailed reports. Most Monetate reviewers on TrustRadius are from either mid-sized businesses (49%) or enterprises (39%) and work in the Retail Industry.

Optimizely tr score

Optimizely is a web experimentation platform that enables both business users and web developers to test out different versions of page elements such as headline formatting, images, and call-to-action (CTA) buttons to streamline and optimize visitor experiences. Along with A/B testing capabilities, Optimizely also offers the ability to conduct multivariate testing and create personalization experiments with specific visitor segments. Reviewers on TrustRadius highlight  A/B testing and a responsive customer support team as two of Optimizely’s strengths. Optimizely is used by reviewers across all company sizes, with a concentration of users in mid-sized businesses (42%) and the Marketing & Advertising and Software/Internet industries.

One unique feature Dynamic Yield offers is an AI-powered predictive targeting engine that identifies and recommends personalization opportunities. Reviewers mention the product’s scalability, personalization tools, and competitive pricing structure as key benefits of using Dynamic Yield. Reviewers from all company sizes use Dynamic Yield.

VWO is a conversion rate optimization solution from Wingify that provides users with a wide array of testing options in its ‘all-in-one’ style platform. Along with A/B, Split URL, and multivariate testing for websites and mobile applications, VWO offers additional analytic tools such as heatmaps, scrollmaps, site surveys, form fill analysis, and visitor recordings. Reviewers on TrustRadius have noted that VWO’s heatmap tool and visitor recordings can help detect bottlenecks on their websites and identify areas where site visitors are struggling. The majority of VWO reviews are from mid-sized (40%) or small (36%) businesses.

“The recordings have been exceptionally valuable to actually see the main pain points of our customers. We were able to filter pages, whether a user visited a particular page, or did not perform a particular action. The logic is well thought out for the recording and I would argue that it would also be a fantastic standalone product (if it was). Top Rated Criteria

Products included in the 2019 Top Rated A/B Testing Tools list must have been in the top tier of their category TrustMap as of January 15th, 2019. To qualify for the A/B Testing Tools Top Rated Award, products must have at least 10 reviews written within the past year, a TRScore of at least 7.5 out of 10, and must receive at least 1.5% of the traffic in their category.  Every reviewer is verified and every review is vetted before publication. Products are plotted on the TrustMap based on end-user data, including users’ likelihood to recommend scores as well as buyer research patterns.
