Today, we awarded the 2019 TrustRadius Top Rated badges for Mobile Analytics Tools. The TrustRadius Top Rated awards are the most trusted in the industry because they are an unbiased reflection of customer sentiment, based solely on user feedback and satisfaction scores. Here are the winners:

Google Analytics  

Google Analytics is a popular web analytics tool and has both free and paid versions available. This product offers users tools to help them understand where their web traffic is coming from, view site visitor activity, and analyze key engagement metrics. It includes features such as the ability to view site visitor location, time on page, landing page, and more. 

While Google offers both a free standard version of and paid 360 version of Google Analytics, the free version still includes powerful user engagement metrics and analysis features. As a Google product, it seamlessly integrates with other Google products and services. 

Together, reviewers from small and midsize businesses make up the majority (67%) of Google Analytics users on TrustRadius. Users on TrustRadius appreciate the fact that Google Analytics is free and comment that its tracking capabilities make it easy to evaluate the success of different marketing strategies.

“We use Google Analytics with a lot of our clients that want to get detailed information about their viewers and their basic browser metrics or profiles. Smartlook is a user session replay tool known for its functionality for website UX design projects. The product’s “always-on” session recording functionality is also available on its native mobile app analytics plan. 

For mobile app development and analytics, Smartlook provides a full heatmap of how visitors arrive upon and use mobile applications and sites. Its power user plan for mobile app developers includes event tracking and funnel analysis, allowing devs to understand churn and fix issues.

Adobe Analytics 

Adobe Analytics is a Mobile Analytics tool that allows users to easily find trends in customer behavior patterns leading up to conversion. Many of its features are easy to customize, including the dashboard, channels, tracking, reports of multiple metrics by site levels, and how these are visualized. 

Adobe analytics have robust features, like a search function that allows many criteria, or the ability to tag thousands of events for easier analysis. It offers easy integration with other Adobe cloud tools and allows large sets of data to be imported into third-party systems, like Excel, for easier data manipulation. 

Users from enterprises (41%)  and mid-size companies (32%) make up a majority of Adobe Analytics reviewers on TrustRadius. Reviewers often extolled Adobe Analytics’ visually pleasing interface, user-friendliness, and customization possibilities.

What is Mobile Analytics Software?

Mobile analytics tools are used by developers or marketers to understand how users engage with their sites and applications on mobile devices like smartphone and tablets. Mobile analytics tools may present information about how users are experiencing the site or application on their mobile device, and report if apps are functioning as they should. 

These tools may also supply channel analytics, comparing site or application performance on mobile to desktop. Some specialist tools now provide app store analytics, i.e. testing whether apps are locatable via the correct keywords and that they appeal to potential downloaders once they are found. 

Mobile analytics tools can also supply information about who is visiting the mobile app, i.e. customer analytics or behavioral analytics, or they may display a more product analytic focus. 

Mobile analytic tools available as part of comprehensive marketing analytics packages tend to provide channel and funnel analysis, attribution, and other tests oriented towards marketers’ needs. 

The analytics software found in mobile app development suites tend to provide live statistics such as number of users (and new users) visiting the app, how much time they spend in-app, crash statistics, etc. Mobile analytics tools oriented around the needs of the developer display greater focus on product functionality and quality.

Top Rated Criteria

Products included in the 2019 Top Rated Mobile Analytics Tools list must have been in the top tier of their category TrustMap as of June 3rd, 2019. To qualify for the Mobile Analytics Tools Top Rated Award, products must have at least 10 reviews written within the past year, a TRScore of at least 7.5 out of 10, and must receive at least 1.5% of the traffic in their category.  Every reviewer is verified and every review is vetted before publication.
