TrustRadius Stands with Ukraine

Putin’s invasion of Ukraine is a diabolical and unprovoked act of aggression. Leaders around the world must apply maximum pressure to halt his actions. It’s been gratifying to see governments levy severe sanctions, people around the world provide support and shelter, and corporations like Starbucks and McDonald’s close their Russian locations.

The situation is personal to us. Over the last two years, we’ve built up to an 18-person engineering team in Ukraine through a third-party agency. While we employ them indirectly, we act like one team. Our Ukrainian colleagues are smart, hard-working, and great team players. Their contributions to our product have been tremendous. Additionally, I briefly lived in Kyiv in the mid-1990s and found the people to be hospitable, and the culture and history extremely rich. The Ukrainian people are proud and will do their utmost to resist this aggressor.

Almost all of our Ukrainian team members are either close to military action or have family or friends near the action. We’ve been very concerned for their safety and have tried to check in daily. We are encouraging them to take whatever time they need to take care of themselves and their family. Some have had to move underground into shelters, a few have left the country, and one is working with his uncle to house refugees. You can support their efforts here.

This moment is also impactful to our web development team based out of neighboring Poland. Many people are hosting refugee families from Ukraine. They built a website outlining their efforts and how to help

As a technology company that runs a popular web service used by over one million people per month, we run a lot of mission-critical operations. Despite the acute challenges they face, our Ukrainian teammates are incredibly still showing up to work. Ukrainians feel strongly that it’s important to keep the economic engine of their country active. At the same time, our U.S.-based development team is organizing to alleviate work stress on our Ukrainian colleagues. We are equipped to keep our platform and our innovation engine running and are seizing this moment as an opportunity to adapt plans to support one another. Despite heavy hearts during these dark days, our team’s spirit is shining through.

This table show’s how we’re tracking the safety, communications, and work status of each Ukraine-based employee. Their safety is of the utmost importance.

ukraine support

Ukraine is a nation of strong and resilient people. We wish all Ukrainians safety and strength during this extremely difficult time. We stand with them and their country.
