ez-texting-vs-hustle

June 17th, 2020 2 min read

EZ Texting and Hustle are both mobile messaging platforms that help organizations connect with contacts via SMS. Companies can send promotional messages or announcements at scale, as well as have personalized conversations with individuals.

Features

Both platforms help companies streamline communications with customers or subscribers, and offer features like text message templates and the ability to personalize messages. However, each product has a few unique features.

EZ Texting allows users to set up text messaging drip campaigns, send and receive text messages to a landline number, send picture messages, and set up text forwarding services. Customers on TrustRadius note that it’s easy to import and export contact lists within EZ Texting, and that the platform is overall very user-friendly.

Hustle offers features like goal setting for text message campaigns, audience segmentation, and tiered user access for organizations with different teams using the application. Hustle users on TrustRadius appreciate the message notifications and the ability to send personalized SMS messages at scale.

Limitations

One difference between the two platforms is that EZ Texting tends to focus on serving small to midsize businesses, while Hustle focuses more on nonprofit, higher education, and political advocacy organizations. Keep this in mind as you evaluate these two platforms.

Some EZ Texting customers have noticed message glitches like words getting truncated or missing spaces. Others have pointed out that reporting and creating custom contact fields with EZ Texting could be improved.

In comparison, Hustle offers a narrower range of features than EZ Texting. Hustle users on TrustRadius also note that the integrations could use some work. Hustle’s text messaging service can become expensive if you’re consistently sending messages to a large number of people.

Pricing

Both products have subscription pricing based on the number of messages sent per month. EZ texting also offers a 14-day free trial and has tiered plans ranging from $39 to $119 per month with varying amounts of ‘credits’. EZ Texting customers can use credits to send either SMS or MMS messages. Hustle does not disclose pricing information on their website but will provide a quote upon request.
