TrustRadius Announces 2022 Summer Best of Awards
We’re excited to announce our first Summer Best of Awards series, which means that our Best of Awards have gone from annual to semi-annual! This addition to our awards calendar comes from a growing need to provide B2B buyers with powerful social proof of which technologies are best-in-class. And according to our 2022 B2B Buying Disconnect report, survey respondents listed user reviews as one of the top three resources tech buyers consult during the evaluation process. More buyers across all age groups, purchase prices, and company sizes are relying on user reviews (55%) this year, a 10% increase from last year. This growth in user review usage means that recognition from programs like TrustRadius’ Best of Awards is important in helping buyers make the best technology decisions for their businesses.
Plus, this new series makes our Best of Awards more current. A lot can happen in a year, so awards given out in January for the Winter Best of Awards might not be as relevant in August of that same year. According to our CEO, Vinay Bhagat, “Overall, our site is growing in traffic and we are seeing categories like martech, business intelligence, customer experience management, and organizational efficiency software tools surge as more buyers look to streamline their business in a recession. It’s difficult for vendors to differentiate and for buyers to decipher which technology will be best to reach their goals. So we wanted to create a space midway through the year to recognize the exceptional vendors who didn’t have the opportunity to participate in January’s Best of Awards.”
This summer we announced 785 Best of Awards for software that meet the requirements for Best Feature Set, Best Value for Price, and Best Relationship. Some products won in all three categories.
Winners were selected after an analysis of over 18,000 high-quality, in-depth user reviews from the last six months. The Best Value and Best Feature Set Awards were based on the highest percentage of respondents who gave high ratings to the product’s feature set and value for the price. Similarly, the Best Relationship Award encompassed data from reviewer insights for “Would Buy Again,” “Implementation Expectations,” and “Sales and Marketing Promises.”
To qualify for Summer Best of Awards, a minimum of 10 reviews were required during the six-month time period (January 1 to June 30, 2022)—versus a 12-month qualification period just last year. This shorter time frame allows for a more accurate gauge of user sentiment and provides potential buyers with timely information about real users’ product experiences. To make the winner’s list, they also have to be in the top three per award type in their respective category.
